What is Model UN?
Model UN is a simulation of a real United Nations conference in which students are given a chance to learn about diplomacy, international relations, politics and which allows them to practice their writing, research, and public speaking skills.
Why did I participate in Model UN?
MUN is something I did in high school and it is something I wished to repeat since I started university. Participating in an event like MUN challenged me and it was something that forced me to step out of my comfort zone and push myself to search for information I do not usually look for, write papers in a way I am not used to writing them, and just overall learn new and valuable skills.
What was the biggest value of MUN for me?
MUN exceeded all of my expectations. Its biggest value for me was the people I met and the ability to be part of an event that pushes you to expand your boundaries and learn more about yourself, the people around you, and what goes on in the world today.
